From March 9 to 12, 2011, KSU President Yan-Kuin Su, Dean of Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Chien-cheng Liu, and Dean of International Affairs Dr. Chih-fang Yang travelled to Seoul, South Korea, to visit KSU sister schools Hansung University and Kyung Hee University as well as the Taipei’s economic and cultural representative office located in Seoul.

The KSU representatives had a wonderful impression as they first visited the beautiful, modern campus of Hansung University, which was established in 1945 and located in downtown Seoul. Hansung University president Dr. Joo-taek Cheng, Dean of International Affairs Dr. Chang-won Lee, International Affairs Section Chief Seoung-ho Cho, and International Affairs staff member David Kim gave a warm welcome, providing a tour of the Administration Building and the Library Information Building, which had bilingual Korean/English signs on it.

The KSU representatives next visited Kyung Hee University which was established in 1949 and whose students have already participated four times in the Student Group Study Tour program at KSU since July 1998. Kyung Hee University Chairperson of the Department of Information Display Professor Jin Jang along with Professor Suk-ki Min hosted an academic exchange conference. KSU president Yan-kuin Su said that the sister school relationships have recently emphasized student academic exchanges and student group study tours which reinforces cooperation with universities in Seoul. He continued on to express hopes of increased exchanges such as scholarly projects and research programs. He also noted that during the conference many South Korean students who had participated in past student group study tours at KSU were very pleased to see the KSU president and staff again, which illustrates the realization of a strong commitment between the schools.
